The Original Lenny’s is No More

The original location of Lenny’s Bar, the legendary local music venue, was knocked down last Friday to make room for a new development along Memorial Drive. Lenny’s held a special place in the heart of many Atlantans as a live performance venue, despite its reputation for having some of the grossest restrooms in the city. Ironically enough, it’s that type of “charm” that made the building’s demolition more of a community event rather than just another conversion of an old building into a vacant lot filled with cranes and bulldozers.
