The Old Dottie’s/Lenny’s has a Date with a Wrecking Ball

Word has come down the pike that the building that formerly housed Dottie’s and the original Lenny’s Bar at 307 Memorial Drive has a date with a wrecking ball on Friday, December 20 at 7 p.m.
UPDATE: Demolition is scheduled to start around 5-5:30 p.m. this evening (Fri., Dec. 20).
A “wreck the walls” party is currently being planned at Young Augustine’s next door. So come pay your respects while the city erases yet another important piece of local history, surely making room for another living-shopping-condo-monstrosity experience, or something else that’s equally as atrocious as what’s currently being built atop the remains of what was Lenny’s second location just a few blocks away (486 Decatur St).
