Seven projects honored as Developments of Excellence
Each year the Atlanta Regional Commission presents Developments of Excellence and Great Place awards. Here are the 2014 winners from the ARC:
2014 Development of Excellence
The Commons at the Imperial Hotel Columbia Residential, National Church Residences
The Imperial Hotel opened in 1911 as luxury lodging for travelers. It has been redeveloped through a public-private partnership that includes Columbia Residential, National Church Residences, the Georgia Department of Community Affairs, the City of Atlanta and the Atlanta Housing Authority into 90 living units for residents who were formerly homeless or who have special needs.
