EIT Embankment – GA Power Tunnel
J.M. Wilkerson Construction Co., Inc. was contracted to construct a reinforced concrete tunnel approximately 1,125 feet long for Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport in Atlanta, Georgia.
This tunnel serves as a corridor for Georgia Power Company network cables crossing the EIT site and connecting the EIT. In addition, the tunnel includes a utility duct-bank for the routing of FAA, Bellsouth and Airport Security fiber optic communication cables.
